All-Mother’s Love gathers her voice in letters and stories written by those who carry her. They can be funny or mournful, hard or gentle. Some teach a plain lesson. Some simply give rest, like laying your head in your grandmother’s lap and falling asleep in church. Instruction, laughter, grief, refuge: it is all her voice.

Her voice does not belong to women alone. Every one of us, son or daughter, has known a mother’s love, heard her words, and carried her lessons. The writing is an individual act. You the writer must summon her voice from within yourself. Send the story or letter you were given, and send her photograph with it, so the woman whose voice you carry takes her place among all the others.
