The Writer’s Agreement

When you send us a letter, story, poem or memory, this is what we agree.

It stays yours. You keep the copyright. You can publish it anywhere else you like, now or later.

You let us publish it. You give All-Mother’s Love permission to publish your piece on allmotherslove.com, to edit it with a light hand, to quote from it, to share it on our social media pages, and to include it in any book, anthology or other collection we put together, printed or digital, whether given away or sold. This permission is worldwide, does not expire, cannot be taken back, and costs you nothing. We will always put your name on it the way you gave it to us, or leave it unsigned if that is what you asked.

You let us bring it to life. You give All-Mother’s Love permission to have your piece read aloud, recorded, performed on stage, and adapted for audio, film, television or theater, alone or alongside other pieces, and to share those recordings and performances. This permission is non-exclusive, so you keep the right to make your own arrangements for your piece. If you ever wish to sell or license the right to adapt your piece for film, television or the stage, you agree to negotiate with us first, in good faith, for thirty days before offering it to anyone else, and if you then receive an offer from someone else, to give us thirty days to match it. If we develop your piece ourselves, you will be credited, and any payment will be set out in a separate written agreement with you before work begins.

You tell us it is yours. You wrote it, or you have the right to send it. If you send a photograph, it is yours to share. If the piece names real people, you have the right to tell their story.

You can ask us to take it off the site. Write to us and we will remove it from allmotherslove.com and stop sharing it on our pages. A book, collection, recording or performance that already includes it, or is already being put together, stays as it is, and copies already shared, printed or recorded stay as they are.

We decide what we publish. We may decline a piece or remove one. We will tell you if we do.

If it is a mother’s love, it belongs here.
